Calls on Senators to Work Around the Clock

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In her first Floor speech as a United States Senator, Martha McSally participated in a bipartisan colloquy to discuss steps to reopen the government and secure the southern border.

“We need to open the federal government and secure our borders right now,” Sen. McSally said. “Let's provide the resources for the Border Patrol agents and CBP officers for what they need to do every single day. Let's open up the government so we can do these things. This is why America is so frustrated with Washington, D.C. - why many of us ran to come here in the first place. Let’s roll up our sleeves. Let’s stay here all night - around the clock and let’s get this mission done. They want to be on the job. They know how important it is.”
